To Wallpaper or Not To Wallpaper…

In one of our recent blogs we talked about new kitchen trends and the revival of saturated color. Another rerun trend we have seen explode in the last few years is the revival of wall coverings. Like it or not the new products are not your grandmother’s wallpaper, and in fact, the designs and application process has greatly improved.

We offer a peel and stick product this is incredible user-friendly and allows you to dabble in the wallpaper market without the necessary long-term commitment. Wall pops! are a great way to add interest to a wall or room.

More and more designers are using wallpaper as an accent. If you’re not ready to try wallpaper on all four walls this is a good option, especially since it’s not as “forever” as it used to be. Thinking about playing around with some wall covering products? Our designers say bathrooms or powder rooms are a good place to start. Not ready to commit to a wall? A great idea for adding depth and dimension to a powder room is by applying wallpaper to the ceiling, or the 5th wall. Have one of our in-home consulta

nts help you deicide which direction you should go. Many wallpapers now have texture and can add some depth to a small space and added interest.

Another go-to space for wallpaper is the dinning room. Since we don’t spend a ton of time entertaining in this space it’s a way to play around with design without fully emerging your living space in a new color, pattern or texture.

Not sold on the idea that wallpaper has returned? Pick up the latest issue of Southern Living or House Beautiful. One of the biggest design trends is the use of wallpaper and patterns.

Budeke’s is one of the areas biggest suppliers of wallpaper and has one of the largest selections. Visit us to see for yourself.
